This is another page of sketches from Waaay back in the day in 2003 when I did my first sketchbook for sell at San Diego Comic Con. It sold well and fast (I printed 100 of them), so I did it again the next few years after that. Always a good seller. Anyway, I did the Opp. Forces image on the left for some add or something and the others are sketches just for this thingy. The "Reese Kirby, stock car driver" drawing was just making it up as I went, but I still like the name.

Fun stuff! Great work!
Man, I think I need to read the Opp. Forces book. After I finish th character design book, that is. I dig these sketches.
It's fun seeing other Christian artists doing such cool, inspiring stuff. I especially love the faces you draw. So much life in those eyes! Especially the girls. The blonde here really has the rythym you talk about in your book.
Kudos!
Those are really great , Tom .
Any chance that you might reprint those sketchbooks from a few years ago and make 'em available to purchase through your website ? If they're all black & white sketches I wonder if it would be feasible to publish as an "e-book" downloadable as a PDF file (payed via PayPal or something like that) , then folks could print them out at home if they wanted , or just leave the PDF on their computer for viewing on monitor ?
Hey Dave! Not sure about the whole PDF angle, but I like the idea of one day compiling a book of sketches....I'd have to sketch somemore though! I'll keep it in mind. You the man.
Hey Tom, i've been reading this blog for a while now, awesome drawings and i just got your book, hope to learn a bunch from it :)
Great sketches Tom! I'm lovin' the subtle stuff goin' on with the Opposite Forces characters....oh so nice!
Really like these. Too bad we've never run into one another in SD. I'll be sure to pick up a sketch book this year!
